The objective of the test is to present you with information relating to your individual genetic predisposition to 25 diseases or conditions covered by the test. The purpose of this molecular genetic test is to ascertain if you are carrying mutation(s) predisposing you to, or causing the specific diseases or conditions covered by the test. It is important to understand that the provided report does not replace a visit to your Doctor and we highly recommend that you consult your Doctor or Specialist due to the complexity of DNA based testing and the importance of the implications of the test results.

Your DNA Genetic Health Report consists of thirty four pages in full colour and explains in detail your predisposition to all twenty five conditions and diseases with clarity and guidance. You will see on your report that each condition or predisposition to a disease featured will be ranked in accordance with your estimated lifetime risk. If any of the conditions are ranked as high risk, they subsequently need your attention and future care, possibly by requesting more frequent screening for the disease or adjusting your lifestyle to improve your health relating to the condition.

In your report, as displayed in the sample report, each condition will be ranked according to your estimated lifetime risk, and will be qualified as high, medium or low risk. High risk conditions are the ones where extra care should be taken by you: by requesting more frequent screening diagnostics of the disease, or by making the necessary lifestyle adjustments.

On ordering this test kit, we will send you or your health professional a DNA sampling kit. The sample is collected using a simple procedure involving oral swabs. Your DNA samples simply need to be sent back by post, and the results of your DNA Predisposition test will be made available to you or your health professional within 14 - 19 working days of receiving your sample at the laboratory.
